Shift Transit is a leading mobility operations company, serving a wide variety of clients in the transportation industry. By working in close collaboration with our clients and providing a terrific service in each of our business units, we have been able to grow our client base and footprint exponentially from coast to coast. Shift Transit is seeking a senior operational leader who can immediately take over the day-to-day management of our Los Angeles car-sharing operation and oversee its potential expansion. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall success of the location and work closely with the Senior Director of Operations and Chief Operating Officer in executing our vision and plan for success. In addition, the GM will serve as the day-to-day operational point-of-contact for our client and its leadership team.

The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented and organized, self-motivated and accountable, possess excellent communication skills, and easily demonstrate an ability to successfully influence, mentor, and lead a large team with poise and a positive attitude. The General Manager will guide and oversee our team on the ground, providing superior customer satisfaction, while navigating the challenges of a large scale logistical operation. Previous experience in mobility operations management is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the successful program execution of our car-sharing program in Los Angeles

• Deliver world-class customer experience to Los Angeles drivers through behind-the-scenes operational excellence

• Work with Senior Director of Operations and partners to hire, train, and empower staff

• Direct and provide operational requirements by scheduling and assigning staff, closely monitoring daily work results and managing employee performance

• Ensure all contractual KPI’s are hit by overseeing daily operational tasks

• Identify current and future operational trends by analyzing and comprehending internal and client data. Execute program objectives quickly based on this data analysis

• Work closely with CFO to achieve program P&L margins

• Identify process improvement initiatives, as well as the development and implementation of related training requirements to support such initiatives

• Work closely managing multiple partners to ensure flawless program execution

• Ensure program compliance with all legal, contractual and safety requirements

• Create and document operational best practices

• Create monthly and ad-hoc reports for the client

Required Skills and Experience:

• College/University degree required

• 5 years of experience managing staff, partners, and clients in a pressurized environment; relevant operational experience related to the role will be required

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common technological business tools

• Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written

• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Candidate is organized and systematic with managing their workload

• This position may require some limited travel
